New MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Trailer Explodes through the Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland

Warner Bros. has released a new Mad Max: Fury Road trailer. The movie stars Tom Hardy as Mad Max, who joins up with Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) as they flee across the post-apocalyptic wasteland from a gang of ruthless warlords. We’ll have our thoughts on the trailer for you soon, but we wanted to bring this to you as quickly as possible. The film, which was helmed by George Miller, the director of the original, still-awesome Mad Max, will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and opens in 3D on May 15th. Along with Hardy and Cheron, Miller's fire-bathed action film also stars Nicholas Hoult, Riley Keough, Zoe Kravitz, Courtney Eaton, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Nathan Jones, and Abbey Lee Kershaw. Here’s the official synopsis for Mad Max: Fury Road: Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone.  Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa.  They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken.  Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
