Point Break Trailer #2: This Is About Enlightenment

Call me a purist, but it's hard to look at this Point Break remake and think of it as anything other than what it is, despite its obvious attempts to grasp at some deeper meaning. We're still looking at versions of Johnny Utah and Bodhi, but no longer under the guise of Keanu Reeves (John Wick) and Patrick Swayze. This time, Luke Bracey's Utah will be the FBI agent infiltrating Bodhi's gang of thieves raging against the machine and not only making […]

Ice Cube to Play Scrooge

There can never be enough Christmas Carol remakes, right? According to Deadline, Universal Pictures has picked up the script Humbug, written by Todd R. Jones and Early Richey Jones, and will star Ice Cube (Ride Along, Straight Outta Compton) in the lead role of Scrooge.  It doesn't come as a huge surprise to hear this film is a more contemporary retelling of the classic Charles Dickens' classic novel about a wealthy, yet bitter, old man named Ebenezer Scrooge who is […]

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 Trailer – For Prim

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 released an utterly tearjerking look at what has come before and lies ahead for Katiss as this franchise draws to a close. For Prim. Honestly alert: I haven't seen any of the movies to this point, although I read the books. Not having been blown away like the rest of the world, I just never tuned in.  So, when a mere 2:25 minute trailer can move me to tears based only upon what I […]

The 5th Wave Official Trailer with Chloe Moretz & Nick Robinson

It's a big day in the release of young adult fiction movie trailers. While we were already familiar with what the world of The Divergent Series: Allegiant had to offer, The 5th Wave is new to movie watchers. The trailer had me when the plane dropped from the sky. That is a pretty frightening visual and scenes like that pull me in every time. The cast is impressive, as well. Not only is it peppered with a top tier list […]

The Divergent Series: Allegiant Teaser Trailer – Beyond the Wall

Yep, these movies are still going strong! The film is still running hot on Insurgent, and Divergent was only just released in 2014, so these babies are pouring out at a really fast pace. Just a year after the group goes beyond the wall, The Divergent Series: Ascendant will hit the big screen, and I'm pretty sure that's the final one. But, back to this particular trailer. It is a teaser, so despite the fact it's almost two minutes long, […]

Patrick Dempsey Joins ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’ Movie

According to Deadline Hollywood, Patrick Dempsey (Grey's Anatomy, Enchanted) is in final negotiations to star in the third installment of the widely popular Bridget Jones's Diary franchise. Not a lot is known about the role Dempsey would play, but it wouldn't be a huge stretch to guess he may be playing a love interest to Bridget Jones herself considering Hugh Grant, who played the womanizing Daniel Cleaver, won't be returning.  While the screenplay for the third film is being kept […]

Krampus Trailer: The Grinch Meets Christmas Vacation?!

Heck, it's still summer, but after watching this trailer (alright, the summer heat hasn't helped), I'm yearning for Christmas! Combining some of the very best things in what seems like a blend of horror's The Grinch meets Christmas Vacation with a comedic cast including Adam Scott (Step Brothers), Toni Collette (The Way, Way Back), Allison Tolman (Fargo) and David Koechner (Anchorman), among others, this looks practically perfect. Beware your lack of Christmas spirit, because it could just unleash the evil of […]
