Weekend Box Office: STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS Leads the Box Office, IRON MAN 3 and THE GREAT GATSBY Continue with Strong Showings
It's no surprise that this week's new entry, J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness, took the top spot. With the exception of the bumped-off Oz the Great and Powerful, the rest of the top ten features the same contenders from last week. Iron Man 3 continues its strong performance, followed by Baz Lurhmann's The Great Gatsby. Michael Bay's modestly-budgeted Pain and Gain takes the fourth spot and DreamWorks Animation's The Croods makes a bit of a jump as the most family-friendly of ...May 19, 2013
Hollywood Adapt This: SCAR NIGHT
Continuing our coverage of excellent novels that have somehow been overlooked for Hollywood feature adaptations, today we'll visit the first book in a Gothic urban fantasy trilogy. Before you scoff, this isn't another "young teen girl is revealed to have supernatural abilities but is torn between two equally-attractive and powerful guys." This story pits assassins against heathens and angels against gods, all taking place in a city of chains suspended over a bottomless abyss. That's something you don't see every ...May 19, 2013

Anchorman 2 Trailer: It’s Kind of a Big Deal
The third "teaser" trailer from Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues has arrived and although it's like the first two, the dialogue is quite different -- and even more hilarious. Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner walk towards the camera as lights illuminate them from behind. Then, they each get their moment to pitch why the sequel will be all that. As usual, Carell's Brick character has a little trouble. Anchorman 2 Trailer: It's Kind of a Big ... May 19, 2013

Paramount Pictures has released a new teaser trailer for director Adam McKay's sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Much like the initial teaser trailer that was unveiled before the film even began production, this trailer doesn't show any actual footage. In fact, it actually looks like it may have been shot at the same time as that initial teaser, but it's no less hilarious. We get individual greetings from Will Ferrell, David Koechner, Paul Rudd, and Steve Carell all in character, but unsurprisingly it's Carell's Brick who ...May 18, 2013
